You are amazingly unique! It is your trade mark. In a world of billions of people, no one else has exactly the unique blend of skills, abilities and passions. Take time to develop your uniqueness, otherwise you could become a jack of all trades and master of none; a mere number in the crowd
"Do not compare yourself with others, otherwise you get lost in the crowd. “Conformity is the jailer of freedom and the enemy of growth.”
(John F Kennedy).
Diligence turns talent to greatness, transforms abilities to command
attention and makes individuals to become noticeable and distinct.
The easiest thing in life is to cruise along at the average level, with little or no
expectations. The result is a average to good performance which blinds us to the
very best that we can be.
A lifestyle of diligence and discipline means pressing on to excellence,
after everyone else has settled for the average. The great teacher, Paul
of Tarsus, puts it this way, “I don’t know about you, but I am running
hard for the finish line. I’m giving it everything that I have got. No lazy living for me! I’m staying alert and in top condition (1
Corinthians. 9:26-27, the Message)”.
Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means
effort, pain, difficulty... I have never in my life envied a human being
who led an easy life. I have envied a great many people who led
difficult lives and led them well. (Theodore Roosevelt 26th U.S.
President)
Success is hard work but very rewarding. It has been said
that success is 10% inspirational and 90% perspiration.
Successful people are those that question the status quo. So
ask yourself; ‘why are things done this way?’ or ‘Can this be
improved?’ or ‘Is there another better way of doing this?’
